“This embroidered replica of the beautiful Queen Eleanor mural in Stony Stratford has been the most exciting challenge in my career as a textile artist. It has been my most complex piece to date, totalling around 250 hours of work. 2000 yards of Egyptian cotton thread have been used in the floral pattern, the monument and the coins, making it the largest free motion embroidery I've ever created. Queen Eleanor herself has been appliquéd in a

variety of fabrics including William Morris designs.

I started my foray into textiles art during university whilst

studying interior design. In particular, I was drawn to free motion embroidery as it allowed me the freedom to create beautiful

patterns and shapes using my sewing machine.”
